On the very first page, there is a, "DO NOT ENGAGE IN PERSONAL ATTACKS" rule. If the moderators strictly enforced this rule, 90% of the junk posts here would be eliminated. Let me give you an example. A few days ago, I posted a simple explanation showing why/how there are two classes of US citizens. The post was simple to read and hard to prove wrong by argument or evidence. The reply to that post, by one Mario Goviea, and 'approved' by the moderators, centred on the following: "Mervyn himself was a third class citizen in Tanzania." Mario Goviea did not try to prove my post, about US citizens, to be false or erroneous. All he did was engage in a personal attack. Goanet would be much more interesting to read if ALL personal attacks were immediately 'rejected' by the moderators. The explanation, DO NOT ENGAGE IN PERSONAL ATTACKS, would be a sufficient wake up call to the habitual offender(s?) and those who inadvertently use it. Best of all, the quality of posts would go up dramatically as every reader here knows that people resort to personal attacks only when they have a losing argument or a lost one.
