I have no problems pointing out personal attacks. I have no problems getting
ten people to write to the Goanet Administration pointing out?each personal
attacks.

The real value of moderation is when readers are assured that blatant personal
attacks are caught before they get posted here.

No one initiates as many off topic posts and posts with personal attacks as
Mervyn. Typically, these contain snide and erroneous comments about the US
system of government and the US President, which wastes a lot of bandwidth to
correct, because some of his friends also barge in without any factual
knowledge of the situation cutting and posting articles they think make their
case.

Now we are seeing Mervyn trying to manipulate the moderators with bogus
allegations of what he calls "personal attacks". In the meantime he engages in
personal attacks himself. Here is just one such example based on some false
impression he has that there is a zoo in the city where I live:

Quote from Mervyn addressed to me: "And please don't try and blame it on the
smell from the zoo again. If anything, the smell is coming from your pants
being on fire."

I think it is high time for Mervyn to get off his high horse, stops complaining
about other posters and starts initiating posts that are factual and make sense.
