you need to provide a URL to a CSV file of your custom data, with two
columns: County FIPS Code and numeric data value.  Only provide data
for the counties that you are interested in.

or instead try one of the example maps provided (2004 Presidential
Election, Median Age, Median Personal Income, Unemployment Rate,
Education Attainment), and select an area of interest (US Census
Bureau Region/Division or State)
