v3 is in development, why would you expect anything about that to be
documented?

This isn't Google, its a developers discussion group.

There's nothing to stop you regestering it as a formally bug if you so
desire

I can't imagine there are any non-trivial software products that don't
have features, easter eggs, developer tools, tracking tools and so on
that allow things to happen that aren't in the documentation.  If you
can't bear the thought of something offering features over and above
those documented, there aren't many facilities you'll be able to use
at all.

I think you're being silly ; if you do what the documents say and it
works, whatever are you worrying about?
