How could my claims say anything about what Google believes? Do you
still believe I "really" have something to do with them? Come on, you
should know better, Ian Parker.

But it's true, I get a little annoyed at people who come in here
because they found a translation that was vaguely offensive, and
demand that the entire translation engine (which is provided for free,
it doesn't have so much as an ad sidebar) should be shut down until
the problem is fixed (never mind that machine translation is hard,
such things aren't easily fixable withing the framework, and that
accidentally offensive translations have existed from time
immemorial). Josh and Xi Cheng aren't allowed to get annoyed at such
stupidity - or at the very least, they aren't allowed to express it in
public. I am, because I don't have anything to do with Google.

Whether there's any point in it is another matter, I'll admit that.
But without calling out some of the more blatant foolishness, I would
probably be less motivated to try to explain things to the polite
newbies.
