With release 1.5, GWT now supports plural forms. Hurray! But the
documentation lacks info on how to handle translations in a common
development work flow. We are considering moving a fairly large
application, currently localized using gettext, to GWT but we need to
make sure the translation-workflow with GWT-Messages can be as
efficient as our current one.

1) Consider the application development in iteration N, having an
English and say Italian translation. In iteration N+1 new messages
have been added and some might have been removed. Others might have
been *slightly* modified, e.g. by adding a comma or similar. The GWT
documentation does not describe:
  a) how the new messages will be "merged" to the existing property
files for translation and how/if they will be marked in order to
locate them easier by the translator
  b) how/if the removed messages will be marked or if they will just
disappear from the property files (in gettext they are marked as
"deleted")
  c) how/if messages that have been *slightly* modified will be marked
in order to let the translator easier locate them and verify
that they
      are still valid.
All in all: How is iterative adding/removal/modification of Messages
handled across existing translations?

2) Gettext uses ".po" files for the translations and for many text
editors there is a so called "po-mode" letting the translator quickly
jump to next/previous untranslated/removed/modified message. "po-mode"
is an invaluable tool. There is even dedicated po-editors out there.
Does similar translation tools exists for the GWT environment?

3) All in all: I think the documentation could benefit from a more in-
depth coverage of the translation work flow.
