All the above anwers are irrelevant, instead you simply need to install the adobe flash player pluging, open Synaptic and search for "flash plugin" you should find the adobe flash player plugin for firefox, mark it for install, and execute the changes, Synaptic will install the plugin, and after ward you will be able to view streaming video content like YouTube, and play flash based games.
