Synaptic does offer a re-install. As usual, it appears to being going well as it re-installs itself.... until I actually check to see if Youtube works in Firefox.
This should really be working out of the box. The Adobe Flash program is not showing up anywhere under the Firefox 'preferences' or 'tools' either. Flash is enabled. Could there be any other flash type program that is hogging the spot in which Adobe should be?
