Dennis, It got lost in all the replies to different posts, but thank you so much for this message in particular. These issues are exactly what we've been working through, and partly why we weren't able to handle the situation better. Most of us hadn't had time to decide if we thought Brendan was the right choice just on his qualifications before we also had to decide what this controversy meant for us and our opinions of the situation.
With getting so much blowback from both sides, and having the situation trivialized, it means a lot when people acknowledge that it's a complex and tough issue.
