That's generally the sentiment that everyone I've talked to shares, though
posting it with such language would probably fan the flames unnecessarily.

This is not correct. The Mozilla Corporation explicitly supports Marriage
Equality.

For what it's worth, this is pretty much required these days for an
organization with headquarters in the silicon valley.

To CTO, most definitely. But while I think 98% of Mozillians wish Brendan
was still CEO, he would be the first to say that putting him in the CEO
role has the very unfortunate affect of making Mozilla the target of a lot
of hatred. And he's probably the most passionate believer that the Mozilla
Mission is too important to risk this kind of distraction.

On another note. Wouldn't it be appropriate for Mozilla to at least censure

They're taking some amount of flak, certainly. But I think it's important
to recognize that the only way to stop the cycle of attacks is for one side
to actually start tolerating the other, cease calls for retribution, and
seek reconciliation.
