Thinus, those monitors have been among the best investment in my practice in a 
long time. I agree fully with Nigel - should be standard equipment nowadays.

Only problem was that after equipping my surgery, once wife and kids saw them, 
they couldn't bear staring at their 17" or 19" peepholes any more and I had 
to shell out some more.

It's an OH&S thing too. What also matters is chairs (e.g. 
http://www.hermanmiller.com/CDA/SSA/Product/0,1592,a8-c440-p8,00.html - don't 
miss out on the bulkbuy deal running out tonight), keyboards, and room 
lighting. 

The rest of the computer stuff is fairly irrelevant for your workplace comfort 
if you use the right software for the purpose - spend what you save on 
needless crap on what you really need, and you can easily afford the 24" 
1920x1200 quality screens
