Hi All,

It's taken a while to reply as I have been travelling and pondering at the
same time.

In case you haven't figured it out already, Angus isn't a real person,
rather he's a character that represents someone who doesn't want to be
involved with the group, a GP who asked a question of me to which I couldn't
answer.

I wanted an answer and I wanted to avoid any bias that might be introduced
based on who was asking the question. I believe I achieved this. The
response I actually received was really good - until I stuffed it up!

I don't know. It seems that maybe philosophical differences are maybe
driving the deployment of Argus more than any particular benefit through the
licensing model, but I'm open to correction on this. What I don't want to
be accused of is putting any business relationship above providing the best
solution for my Customers.

I felt rather embarrassed that I couldn't answer so basic a question
(paraphrased) - "All these savvy guys are SOOOOOO keen (on Argus), surely
there must be something in it, other than technological bias?" So out pops
a nom de plume and Angus is born. The question gets asked, there is no
information (other than a fictitious name) to offer any direction for bias,
and the answer - succinct, non-biased and really useful.

I had anticipated that "Angus" (As close to ARGUS as I could get) would be
largely a one hit wonder and then disappear. It is my hope that the Doctor
asking the question would feel confident in joining this forum and you'll
see him "for real" one day.

None of this is meant as an excuse. It's just a "what-happened" thing.
>From now on I will be more than happy to use a single identity - I'd
certainly never be any good at espionage.

With best regards,

Chris.
