Andrew - what software does the Pharmacy use to transfer the
prescription information? Or do they punch it in manually after reading it?
Is the prescription information format a recognised standard or has it
just been created for this trial?

David,
Prescriptions are transmitted from GP to Pharmacy, and Medication
Charts from Aged Care Facility to Pharmacy.
The prescriptions are exported directly from the clinical software as
HL7, which gets encapsulated in an SOAP envelope.
The Med Chart is a block of HTML, which gets similarly embedded.

blob of some sort or ??
Cheers
David.
