David and GPCG_Talkers

I apologise for the delay, but Chrismas got in the way. In response to David's suggestion below, we have prepared a short 'Technical and Design Strategy Overview' for you to access on our web site, plus the HL7 message spec for the prescription message for those so inclined.

I post this with some trepidation because I know that it will raise more questions than it answers and we could be flooded with a rush of questions and critical comments. Although we have good justifications for all the approaches we have taken, we are incredibly flat out at present and will find it hard to respond to too many questions.

I only hope that you will understand and bare with us, knowing that our intentions are honourable and that there is little 'set in concrete' at this stage that cant be reviewed and subject to alignment with Standards as they become evident.

Hi Andrew (and Hugh).
Thanks for that. I might be a good idea if Julia wrote a 1-2 page technical description and poped it up on the ArgusConnect web site so we could all follow what was going on and what the next steps may be! Among the issues I am curious about are how choice of pharmacist is preserved (a biggie with the Guild I know) and how the signed script is marked dispensed by the pharmacist and inactivated or whatever and so on. Cheers and Happy Christmas David
