The main reason we haven't installed a backup spare server is the cost
of the SQL licence in our case Gupta SQL. The licence costs a couple of
thousand dollars in itself. This is in addition to the hardware, and
installation etc etc.

I really don't want to think about the security and privacy hazards
associated with restoring a database chock full of highly confidential,
fully identified patient medical data onto a teenager's home PC... Or

meets the standard required for general practice computer networks.
