My practice has just started accessing the ACIR online. We could not

Oliver,
Using the ACIR website is inefficient and tedious anyway, so why persist?
If you use MD2, possibly MD3, there are several practice management
software packages, including [ugh] Pracsoft and CompuDoc, as well as
others, that allow the transmission of ACIR data via Online claiming.
The caveat is that you are already entering the childhood immunisation
details into MD or other clinical package. It gets picked up the PM
software and sent as a batch to Medicare. So much quicker and simpler if
you are already recording childhood immunisations in the right software.
Other clinical/PM package combinations may support this also. The
Medicare website re Online Claiming [not Easyclaims] lists the PM
packages that do, but I haven't checked it for a while.
