I agree that dreaming is the most appropriate option...
When I was the RACGP appointee to the ACIR Management Committee (which was
shut down unilaterally) I tried twice to get the HIC (as it was) to develop
routines that would do this and other such processes (to capitalize on the
unique situation permitted with immunisations that data on the ACIR can be
shared with any GP who has an interest in maintaining a child's immunisation
status). Both times the process was stymied after a discussion document
reached the HIC.

I think it could be nicer of the ACIR to automagically send us 
whenever we report a vaccination, an update of all known current 
vaccines in ACIR that our software could hopefully verify and merge.

But I think I am dreaming to think that this could be possible.....
