hi
dilip is right in saying that it's not diaspra, but local/regional
resistances that will make changes
at the same time, at the academic/cultural frontiers the local remain a trap
which cannot see through the walls of Kerala model
DSU and other such initiatives by Dalits are the only sites wher one can see
such resistences, but the civil society keeps silence on these efforts...
it's in the invisibilty of these movements that one construct "democracy"
and theories..., leave alone samskarika nayakar/nayikamar....that's least
importnant..
debates start from small irritations may hopefully turn into big
movements...
let us hope so...(if democracy allows...)
and it's precisely wher i started.. try to see the world around u which need
not be a 'heaven' or 'hell'...it's shear life...theories are born ther.. and
there is no need for any one to "represent" it
perhaps we know how to represent us!!

thanks and regards
