i do believe in the avowed acceptance of religion and the important role it
plays in defining human life situations. but still i m non-religious;
i wouldn't like to leave modernity, though i critique it, bz the post-modern
terrains built/building around may not solve my problems unless and untill i
lay claim on modernity and its offerings. it s quite strategic.
one should look at ambedakrian "modernism" (it s quite different) where he
gives ample space for religion. Gandhi led us to the altar of casteism
and its religious fundas, Nehru to the temples of modernity built on the
same banks of casteism.
Ambedkar enlighten us to a world of religion and spirituality where
modernity as a project is not the end in itself.
