As it stands, I think we're ready for TeXLive 2016 once xcolor gets
fixed (something we have no control over, and as yet have not heard from
the package developer about the possibility of a fix). We also still
need the geometry fix to get our test repository to fully pass (again,
we have no control over this one, though a fix has been promised here).
The TeXLive schedule puts the final source freeze on May 8th and the
final CTAN freeze on May 16th. I don't think we can move through rc1 to
final release in time for May 8th. However, the lack of any reported
bugs makes me think that it would be alright if we went straight to
release on May 7th. Either that, or we could release rc1 later today
and get the sources pulled from that. Does anyone have any other
thoughts to add on this? Élie, can you talk to your contacts to find
out what they might think on this?
