"Overdrive" was/is in inverted commas.  Isn't my meaning obvious?  Just in case it 
isn't . .  a six-speed transmission can be geared up to provide 5 ratios including a 
conventional top where the machine can just reach peak power, plus an "overdrive" 
ratio for reduced revs while cruising; and that's absolutely my last word on that 
subject, you'll be glad to hear.
