If you take any flak from your dealer or from Yamaha, just remind them that
the percentage of failures so far may be well over number that usually
triggers an automatic recall by NHTSA (source: Motorcycle Consumer News
3/00, after a survey of subscribers to this GTS list).
I had my HU replaced by University Honda/Yamaha in Seattle, and Yamaha tried
to get out of covering the labor costs. Thankfully my dealer wasn't hearing
any of it, and I didn't pay a single cent for the replacement.
