More than likely, your dealer was pumping you for
double the labor.  Since we all dealt with the same
corporation and different dealers, the variable seems
to be the dealer.  Did you speak with Yamaha USA
directly or through your dealer?  I found a lot of
excuses blamed on "Yamaha" were just poor
work/planning/thought(or lack thereof) by my dealers.
Most of the horror stories we've seen on the list can
be traced back to the individual dealers.  Just a
thought you might want to do a "trust check" on your
dealer...
