Hi Walt,

This has been a huge thread in the past and is/was discussed endlessly.
I'd rather not go thru it all again, rather, if you would like, just
check the archives.

I'll make a long story short for your needs. Go to the dealer, indicate
that the ABS is not working and that you have knowledge that Yamaha
Corp. will take care of it, parts and service. Leave it in his lap, once
he has the info, he can pester Yamaha.

I guess what I really was gonna say or wanted to say is this; while we
*shouldn't* have to make a fuss to get this done, or, in other words,
Yamaha should do it without any complaints or hassles, the real world
says that we might have to 'beef and moan' about it to get it done. Rest
assured, it WILL get done. But the level of kicking and screaming is the
variable that you will have to deal with. Many of the listers have
gotten it done with virtually no input or problems, and others....will,
their cries still echo through the corridors of our nightmares.
(Hehehe...a little poetic license there....:^)

If you are looking for it to be easy, it could happen. Will it be easy?
Who can say? Just hang in there, be tenatious, and it will get done. Or
the short reply is, "It doesn't matter the way it *should* be, it only
matters the way it *is*. But it will get done.

Cheers! And let us know how it goes!

Brandon
