Peter,  my break in procedure was textbook perfect.  There is no reason that
I know of why my bike should be burning oil.

3000 miles at sustained 75-85mph all day. I suspect your rings are not
seating properly, possibly due to breakin procedures.>


I have a buddy who now rides Honda and he said that when he had his Yam
(can't recall what model), that it used to burn oil also and that he thinks
it's a Yam trait.  I disagree.

Is there some product that you can add to the fuel or oil that will help
re-seat the rings?  Piss and vinegar perhaps?
