My last long trip, I burned about 4 oz in 1100 miles. the bike ended that
trip with 23600 miles. My CBR929RR has 2500 miles on it. I changed the oil
in it at 600 miles and it hasn't burned a drop. My recently sold zx-11D
burnt about 2 -3 oz every 3000 miles (I sold the bike when it had just under
18,000 miles).

When i go out on a run with my mates they all complain about the smoke when
i rev hard between 7000/9000 rpm , but they say it's black smoke and they
can smell fuel , i wonder if it's the oil burning that they can smell , but
shouldn't the smoke be white ?
I still get 40/50 mpg depending on how i ride .
Do you get white smoke when you ride ?
Is you oil breather pipe from the crank case to the airbox clear ?
I think valve stem seals maybe the way to go .
