Sail, You must depress both the front brake lever and rear brake pedal & hold very tight, and continue to hold both till the sequence of testing the front and rear is completed. It only takes about 10 seconds, but you should feel very hard pressure on your hand and your foot. You should hear the motor spin up when your turn the ignition on, then hear the ratcheting of the levers when the front & rear circuits are tested.
