I just took 3 minutes trying to find any information on how to contribute to the Cookbook and did not find anything. So yes, it is not clear enough.
The same way as you'd contribute to any other project: you make changes locally and send the diff or a patch or even just an article as an attachment to the project. "The project" here can be [email protected], a pull request on codeberg, or a contributor whose email address you know.
My (imaginated) target is not so much the people that already have a blog, than all those others that have no place to publish.
The Guix project does not aim to give people a place to publish unvetted information.
One big negative point for wiki is managing spam. But some registration process can avoid most problems.
Requiring an account is already a much bigger hurdle than those in place to contributing to the cookbook where you can literally just send an email with your changes.
I think a friendly review by a committer is the bare minimum for information that gets published and distributed to all Guix users. (Unlike a wiki the cookbook is part of Guix and works offline as well.)
