The only real problems I've encountered are with the language rules. I don't care how many points you put into a language, if you didn't grow up with it, you can't call it "native". Minor houserule, replace "native" with "fluent" for those languages you learn later in life... I also tend to double the number of levels of language... just for a little more granularity. As far as Str goes... In my PhantaSea campaign (magical, flying, planetraveling, pirate-ship-from-hell!) I had one PC that seemed to have the goal of acquiring as many possilble different melee weapons that he could wield with one hand... then buying up Str to get a larger selection of larger weapons... The prize of the collection, what we called the SurfSword... 3ft wide, 10ft long, made of titanium and enchanted to shrink to longsword-size when sheathed... but expand to full size when drawn.
