Now that 4th edition has been out a while, I'm curious what people's experiences are with it.

I can't say much comparing to 3e, because I couldn't get anyone to PLAY 3e.

Fourth edition was the magic needed to get them all to switch from D&D/WoD for the most part. One of my players/fellow GMs has become a GURPS fanatic. The system agnostic folks now acknowledge that it's good for stuff, and even the GM most fond of rules-lite improvisational play still likes GURPS for "the right types of games".

Just to clarify, it was the 4th edition GURPS or the 4th Edition DnD that caused them to switch.

I ask mostly because several die-hard DnD gamers I know have a strong dislike of 4th edition DnD. Having read through the rules, I don't blame them. It takes most of the role play and story fun out of the game.

In any event, this sounds like a big win for 4th edition GURPS.
