Ok specking as on who has done some dirt sailing, Right off the bat I ponder
what you could make the skids out of that would resist the abrasion of the
sand.

Kinda depends how good your suspension is for wheeled yachts controls how
rough is handled.. We more than once sailed significant distances on dirt
roads in Nevada.

This really depends on a lot of variables, there will be places
that aren't a problem and places that are. In a lot of ways it is like
sailing with lots of heavy swell. Though I would bet that
most efficient coarse in an area of dunes would be parallel to the windward
faces, on the ocean that would be asking to be knocked down.

Depends, most it is something to be delt with. The pilot will want googles
and face covering as the dust gets everywhere. I assume that skids probably
will kick up more than wheels.
