No Winch? Even an extremely low ground pressure tracked vehicle runs the risk of sinking in the wrong kind of mud, or getting stuck in a river or ravine. With little or no support and retrieval vehicles around an external winch could mean the difference between an inconvenient afternoon and a scrubbed mission.
