Hello DataPacRat, the choice of rules, cyberwear or a vehicle, will indicate what stats you get, a character sheet or a vehicle writeup. Robots tries to merge the two, but that is IMHO one of the weaker parts of the book. The viewpoint of cyberwear is that a character is augmented by technical parts, which give certain advantages or modify stats. Interchangeable cyberwear kind of breaks this paradigm, but there are game mechanics for alternate forms. The viewpoint of a robot/vehicle is that a character travels in a vehicle, but usually the character is able to get out. The vehicle costs no points, just cash, and there is no need to 'play-balance' the pricetag. The vehicle also has vehicle maneuvering and combat stats. Having the character unable to leave easily breaks the vehicle assumptions, but both VE and RO have rules for cyborg brains in vehicles. However, these rules assume just the brain. So ask yourself if the centaur chassis is used mostly on the character scale or mostly on the vehicle/robot scale. Zan replied to DataPacRat > Were there cyborg rules in 3e Robots? That seems like a good start point because it seems your character > Dee is mostly like a cyborg. 3E had the 'collected system' of Robots, Vehicles 2nd, Mecha, Vehicles Expansion 1 and 2, and a few minor additions. Robots was the first to use the system, and some mechanics are not quite complete, but it remains the only book with some robot rules :-) As mentioned, the Cyborg rules on RO52 assume that a brain is built into a vehicle, not half a body plugged into mechanical legs.
