Part of the problem is the assumption that antimatter power plants hold fuel for five years. If you cut it down to just a few days of endurance, each MW does 0.01 kt if the reactor explodes. A small grav vehicle could have 2 MW, a big one 30 or 50 MW. I've just finished the Medium Grav Gunship. Lwt 10 tons, DR 250 physical armor and DR 750 force screen, 5 G acceleration (twice the armor of the Light Grav Gunship and one G more). So it isn't unreasonable to aim for 30 tons, DR 500 + 1,500, 6 G in the Heavy Gunship, right? But I'm about 3 tons overweight right now. The switch from fusion to antimatter would save 2.4 tons. The lightfield reactor from the Expansion might be another way, if I can find more savings. Or less physical armor.
