That works too.
The main advantage i see with the psi power background, over other
backgrounds i have been able to come up with, is, that with the psi
background many design requirements can be presented as corollary of one
big background assumption, whereas with the others it is more having a
small background assumption for every design requirement.
The former are not only more elegant IMO, but also easier to GM, since if
the player research in an unexpected direction and i have to wing
something, i have less things to juggle in my head.
I would not be suprised if there are other SG backgrounds with the same
quality, i just have not come up with more so far.
