I've been working on some vehicles for the Evil Overlord. A few times I had to ask myself if "style over substance" was getting stupid -- open-topped vehicles with a force field vs. enclosed vehicles with the same force field, sculpting vs. stealth, and room to told speeches to captured heroes in an AFV ... The main explanation is that TL12 can afford these luxuries, as long as they don't come up against a real army.
