As well as to act much like the old Dragoons did, to keep the troop fresh
for combat and able to carry more gear/ammon/etc so when they met the enemy
they had more to use? Maybe a small pindle mounted weapon or what?
Need not be man controlled, yes?
Also what about small recon droids, one idea I had was one to go up the side
of buildings or down city streets/allys to check out things.
One of the most dangerous part of house cleaning is the initial entry and
who is your target, especially if you have locals or a hostage or like that
you don't want to kill.. Also the 20 others upstairs that you do not know it
is there and now know you are in the house and can now react? BOOM or
attack?
Why the Police in Belfast and like, have a fiber optic device to go under a
door to see who is the threats, who is the likely victim, and other threats
(like the bed over turned that might make a flash bang or concussion grenade
nearly useless) , so when you come in, its pop,pop,pop, save. In the war on
terror you do not want to be seen as vicious animals, it turns the locals
over to the enemy and they get to liking the locals terrorists and not you,
if you end up killing a kid or do things brutally, like blowing up the whole
building and all inside dying, terrorists and many innocents..
So the squad might have a couple of small misquito or like droids/drones to
do recon ahead of things to keep the threats and like to a minimum or ...
