Pardon me but a generic solution to a problem is far more preferable to a
specific solution to a problem. Once again let's look at the list focus
control script. sure I could design a script to move to a control with a
hot key. How-ever having the non tabable controls in a list means that one
solution will fit all situations of this type. It actually decreases the
learning curbed not increases it.

You speak as a sophisticated skilled user, not a typical user. I don't
dismiss what you are saying, but typical nonsophisticated Joe or Mary
will ultimately find greater comfort in scripts dedicated to specific
programs that have hotkeys dedicated to specific tasks.
And that's what users, employers, families and agencies will pay for; so
it is incumbent upon those writing scripts to take interest in working
with specific programs.
Yes, agreed; certain of these scripts can be applied across the board to a
number of programs and tasks, but the average user doesn't know that,
understand the complexities of doing this, nor wish to go through that
learning curv
He or she, or those paying on their behalf, on the other hand, will shell
out $$ to have ready-made scripts for a given program.
We need to think beyond what may work for us but rather users in general.
And users too may need to be willing to pay to have certain important
applications to them made more friendly to use thanks to the power of
scripting.
