if you don't want the script why don't you simply not use it and leave it for those of us who like it?

I am not disagreeing you that a general solution is preferable to a
specific one targeted at one program.
However, place yourself in the shoes of the average nonsophisticate user.
He or she will do better if a script for a given program is available to
them as they will have less skills to master.
I am not disagreeing with you, Jim, but presenting the other side of the
coin -- that's all.
Bottom line:  I'd like seeing more scripts targeted at specific software
regardless of what other developments occur.
