I guess to each his own. My final note on this You do commands, you
constantly doing this and that. I like the automatic idea. More on this some
other time. Got to get back to work. Been a crazy morning. At least browse
mode has behaved, so far, today.

Will this is a good idea in theory. However I have observed in practice that
does not work all that well. Perhaps the best thing to do as I said
previously. Is to have commands that relate specifically to the buffer that
do not interfere with the actual browser behavior.
Kind of like the commands we have that relate to the mouse cursor or the
insertion pointer. So for example you can press capslock+h to move to the next
heading or shift capslock+H. to move to the previous heading, while pressing
the letter H. will do just that in the browser press the letter H.
So this way there is no confusion as to whether the browse mode is on or off,
and there is nothing to toggle on or off. This would also mean that you
actually have to press caps lock and arrow keys to move from line to line
character by character, word by word, but I do not think this would be a major
inconvenience insert arrow keys could be used to navigate from, table row to
row cell to cell Having this type of dialogue now is very important, because
our feedback will probably give GW micro some idea how the remapped browse mode
should work -----Original Message-----

Yes. I guess I wish it would be automatic and consistant. So I wouldn't need
to do anything to it.

I don't think we are disagreeing here. I think it comes down to you want brows
mode but you want it to turn off and then back on when you need it to
without you having to think about it. I myself would rather see brows mode
have its own set of commands so it does not in any way interferer or change the
way the browser works. It would be like controlling the mouse. I would also
like to see this extend to office programs as well. So we could have commands
to move to heading forms etc without having to toggle a mode or only having the
list feature. Another reason why we really need more keyboard modifiers like
caps lock scrolled lock and the efercheation between left and right control alt
keys and in insert keys.

Now what you are talking about has nothing what so ever to do with brows mode
what you are talking about now has to do with the way pages are created.
Remember with brows mode turned off the browser has control over the tab key
and reports to window-eyes what the browser thinks needs to be read.
Here is what you do. Use brows mode to move to the first form control.
Turn brows mode off enter the text. Turn brows mode back on use brows mode to
move to the next control turn brows mode off etc. you can even use the list
controls feature to move to controls while in brows mode. Place markers can be
used to mark spots of interest on pages etc. while it might be nice to have a
automatic brows mode off and on feature on controls so far when using programs
that have that feature it is more problems then it is worth.
Errors. I almost made them on Sunday. Because I need to fill in edit boxes
but I couldn't read other things on the screen with it being turned off. I
almost put in wrong information. I'm having lots of problems with t here at
work but I only have 6.1 so I can't do much about that at this time. Just wish
they get on with it and fix it!

Sandra

While I can appreciate your frustrations at times, I, like Jim, find browse
mode more of a blessing than a cursor.
The current functionality and flexibilities that browse mode allows makes some
of the inconveniences more than bearable.
Yes, you do occasionally loose info due to having to activate and
deactivate modes, but it also can save you from making errors.
Something better may indded come along; but I am in no rush to see that just
for its own sake.

Just as obedience to the Lord is an indication of our love for him, so is it
also a proof of ourfear of God.
