If you get into the technical, legal speak of software licenses, you'll
find that you don't actually own Window-Eyes at all. Software
manufacturers own their software; it is, after all, their own creation.
But we do license it to you, the end user. We charge an initial fee (a
one time investment fee paid for either all at once, or over time via
the payment plan option), and then maintenance fees at our discretion.
We usually charge for for upgrades with significant changes, and minor
upgrades, or those with minimal changes, are typically released free of
charge.
With a valid license, you are then free to install and use the software,
provided you adhere to the license stipulations in the End User License
Agreement, found in the documentation. A valid license also ensures
access to the other services we provide, typically for free, like
technical support, access to internet resources such as this list, our
website, access to apps, webinars, podcasts, etc.
Just something to think about.

Sometime later this month I will have been a GW software user for 15
years.
Suspect that there are not many users longer than that.
I have been a loyal user of GW products and have purchased all
original software and upgrades from my own resources.
I believe that for long-term users of the product we sould be offered
upgrades free of charge as I believe that I have probably spent
several times the cost of the original software over the years.
What do other long-term users think?
