Just to add something, I think some of the refreshing on a web page is because there are multiple frames that are loading on a page and they do not all load in at the same time. Other times there are multiple things loading on the page such as flash or the ads and things like that and ewhen something changes it caushes a window eyes page refresh. Most of the time that will settle down after a page has loaded in as long as it is not constantly updating different things on the page. I agree with the assessment that window eyes is relatively a poor performer fallen behind on the net. browse mode in its current state is on life support and dying fast! It is often frustrating. Taking the time to get it right is much appreciated. I think we will be happy when we get to enjoy the new generation of browse mode or whatever form the new net support takes. Currently I keep system access and nvda on my system. I grab one of those when window eyes just isn't doing it on a page. Sometimes the others don't either. At times they do make it happen though and window eyes can't see something. Particuarly when it is a newer more modern type of control. I.E. normally some web 2.0 type of control. Sometimes Window Eyes will see it, but will not activate it. Sometimes routing the mouse will allow it to be clicked at that point and sometimes the mouse will not route to it. Accessibility on the web in general right now is suffering from everyone having to use technology just because it is the hot buz word for the type of technology to be using and not because it is needed or the best way and standards being in flux. So many things can be done with HTML and do not need this java crap, but they insist on using the java crap just because in their mind it has to be better. Same with flash. 15 years ago there were pages that did the same thing as some of this java crap and the java is doing nothing more in many cases. Just my possibly random and possibly useful thoughts.
