Well I had lots of problems with Firefox. Enought that I just quit using it.
That was probably more than a couple Firefox versions ago.
Crashed all the time.

i am talking about when you here the two tones. this is a w e crash and was
generating an error report every time this happened. and i had to reboot the
computer every time it crashed.
it was random it happened anywhere at any time it wanted to crash. not just
on the desktop.
about 5 times per night.
but since i installed 7.5.4 these crashes have stopped.
with firefox its the flash and plug in container. i can open the
task manager and unload the plugin container and firefox will start working
again. all i have to do is press f5 to reload the page and the flash will start
working again for a while.

I've never had Window-eyes crash when just sitting on the desk top. Seems to
happen most often if I'm on the net.

i built my own, and w e still has the same problems. web pages reloading
even when auto load is turned off. links that will not activate, saying there
are links when they are not links. links in emails that will not activate.
software that has browse mode support but still will not work with w e.
the list goes on and on.
one thing gw did fix. the constant w e crashes even when i was only sitting
on the desktop with nothing else running.
so far it has not happened with version 7.5.4

In my opinion it seems to be more about the computer and what's on it than
it is the screen reader.
Most computers come with so much junk on them and who knows what
interaction
everything will have with a screen reader.
My Linovo Laptop has all sorts of linovo stuff on it and I'm trying to
decide if it'll be OK to just uninstall it.
It's not like the old days when you just got a computer and an install of
Windows on it.
Just some thoughts.

Just to say I've been a user of WE since 4.11 and I am not having the
problem you mentioned, pages reloading is not happening for me. I use WE on
my Wells Fargo banking site and also on Bank of America and I am not having
the problems you mentioned. WE is still the best screen reader for me.

Hi Keith and all.
I am in the same position as you except I never bought a SMA in the
first place and not sure if I will either unless the next major release
entices me to do so. I use NVDA nearly full time, and also have
Window-Eyes scripting turned off. I only bought Window-Eyes because of
the Remote Assistance feature, which I cannot use in the demo, fair
enough. So yes, unless the next major version is decent enough I can see
myself putting my money towards donating to NVDA.
