Since Maria is not posting I will be happy to lead a B pace ride this
weekend. We can do the same route with a 10:15 departure.

Please give me some idea if this is acceptable to the group. I will plan on
a 16 pace or whatever the group wants. It is a no drop.

If nobody has interest in this please let me know so I can go with the A
group push too hard and get dropped :)

> THE PLAN:
> One or more groups will leave with the intent of riding as a group at a
> target pace. We will try to cover the same routes, albeit a shorter
> distance for the slower group, so if you're struggling or want to ride at
> an easier pace, you can move back to a slower group. If you're already in
> the slowest group, the ride leader will check to make sure you can make
> your way back alone or with another volunteer. You'll know within the
> first 7 miles whether or not you're strong enough to maintain the pace.
> The general rule is that you should be able to maintain at least a 19+mph
> pace for the A Group, 18mph pace for 40-50 miles with the B+ Group or a
> 16mph pace for 30-40 miles with the B Group, when considering which group
> to ride with. If you can not maintain these paces, then it is suggested
> that you consider the C/B- Sunday ride. (Please refer to the link above).
>
> Each group should make a concerted effort to keep the group together but
> there will always be those who want to pick up the pace on the return. It
> is more appropriate to do this the last 5-7 miles of a ride. The short
> hammer sessions, that are always inevitable during our rides, will not be
> affected.
