How do you check where the person is from? I remember a site on sourceforge which redirected Israelies (due to an Anti- Israel policy- to deny Israelies of their project). They did not redirect me when I came from granada.merseine.nu (home server), which back resolves to an adress at actcom.co.il. They did redirect me when I came from tx.technion.ac.il. So at least the method they used is not very reliable. Livejournal does not always identify well, as well: Through work I get a Hebrew page, and through home- an English one. Not a reliable method here, either. On the other hand, I know of people (at least one on Linux-il) who do not read Hebrew very well, and a false positive would make their lives harder.
