While we're on the subject of keeping essential books available, I am concerned about the two Massif Central tunebooks by Mel Stevens, which are a pretty essential reference for French players. While at least the Doreen Muskett book is available from a few commercial sources (Lark in the Morning does still carry it, and I think some others have been mentioned), the two Stevens books are now unavailable from all sources except Stevens himself, and I wonder if he plans to reprint when supplies run out. I do have his email address if anyone still wants to buy them from him, but I am concerned about their future. Does anyone know any more about this?

We stopped because at that time it wasn't profitable for us - we're not all about profit, but we had to focus on building, not on running a retail establishment (which is also why we stopped selling CD's and lute strings.) Since there's a need for it, perhaps someone on the list would be willing to coordinate a "group buy" of the Muskett book - take orders, have Michael send them to you, then send them all out. Any volunteers?
