For those interested in the mp3 (not midi, sorry) files for the Massif Central tune books 1 & 2, the link is here. http://www.hurdy-gurdy.org.uk/ Sorry, it took me a while to find it again. They are played on piano but should give a good idea of what's in the books. I had been working on making these as midi files (which can be printed out as dots on many programs) but have only managed about 25 so far but if anyone is interested, email me off list and I'll send them to you. Mel is, at present, the only source for them (unless someone has old stock). Dave has the publication rights to all of Dragonfly Music now so it's up to him if he gets around to publishing those particular books again. Sad but true. May be some emails to [EMAIL PROTECTED] may help? I don't know what control Mel still has (if any) over the two books or whether he could publish them with another publisher or not but I suspect that Dragonfly Music has control of them. As a further point, all of the tunes from the books are available as Midi files from one of our members (who, I am sure, will respond accordingly). While at least the Doreen Muskett book is available from a few commercial sources (Lark in the Morning does still carry it, and I think some others have been mentioned), the two Stevens books are now unavailable from all sources except Stevens himself, and I wonder if he plans to reprint when supplies run out. I do have his email address if anyone still wants to buy them from him, but I am concerned about their future. Does anyone know any more about this? We stopped because at that time it wasn't profitable for us - we're not all about profit, but we had to focus on building, not on running a retail establishment (which is also why we stopped selling CD's and lute strings.) Since there's a need for it, perhaps someone on the list would be willing to coordinate a "group buy" of the Muskett book - take orders, have Michael send them to you, then send them all out.
