Wow that's amazing Omega. Let's get Valve to rip out the fucking engine, so us 1337 programmers can re-code it all for the sake of innovation.
Sven Co-op 3.0 is around the corner, and at this moment in time I *DON'T* have time to re-program a feature such as this. I wish I would have caught the problem sooner, but I didn't. Life's a bitch. Making random changes without proper *public* documentation is HARMFUL. I can only hope Valve realizes this from now on, or whoever is working on the Half-Life engine for Steam. At this moment in time my blood pressure is through the roof, release times are never fun for anyone, including the players. So if I sound like I'm being hostile, maybe it's because I am. -Sniper ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tony "omega" Sergi" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, December 20, 2003 7:26 PM Subject: Re: [hlcoders] Deathmessages stopped working in Steam > here's where we differ on the situation: > > I don't consider it a bad thing that the notify is gone. > > I consider it a [bold]good[/bold] thing. > > You wonder why i presume: > > Simple, It allows you to make something better, Break out of the mold; > make a proper system. > You don't rely on death icons?
