I think part of it may have something to do with the fact that there
were more programmers working on the Source SDK than the Doom3 engine. When
there's so many people working on the same piece of code, things can get a
little disjointed and inconsistent.
I havent touched Doom3 script so I can't compare but aside from removing
these duplicate functions ( I cannot name any off the top of my head ), what
else can do you think can be done to clean up the code? combine several
source files into one?
