So you're saying that I should always have the mic muted in the mixer panel?
I guess I was under the assumption that this meant the mic was disabled when
checked. What you're saying is that this being checked just keeps the mic
input from being rerouted to the speakers?
I am using headphones and boom mic, although it's kina jury rigged. I had a
crappy old Labtec headset with a boom mic, and the earpieces sucked, so I
disassembled this set, and attached the boom mic to my Sony CD-60
headphones.
Ok. I rechecked the mute box, and this got rid of the nasty "feedback"
noise in the Voice Setup app, but the app still isn't picking up what I say,
and the "system setup" button is still grayed out.
I'll try it out in game and see if it works...
